Labour Day barbeque to help Calgarys unemployed and underemployed

While many people celebrate a day off, the Calgary and District Labour Council is trying give a leg up to the unemployed and under employed. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Olympic Plaza, the council is hosting the free Barbeque including music and kids games. The set-up features information booths and a book giveaway. President Alexander Shevalier said he’s also using the day as a platform to once again call on the government to include farm workers in all pieces of workplace legislation.
