Web 2.0 for good will be held at the RSA in London on 22ndMay 3pm-7pm.It’s one of the first events in the UK which explores how new Web-based social tools such as blogs, wikis, podcasting and socialbookmarking can be used to promote social change and innovation.These new “Web 2.0” tools offer huge potential for campaigningorganisations, charities, social entrepreneurs and CSR practitionersto extend their reach, prominence and impact. At Web 2.0 for Goodover 100 early adopters, technologists, bloggers and writers willconvene to explore not just what these tools are but the values andphilosophy that underpin their use. It will be interactive,informative, fun but resolutely framed around conversation notdidactic communication. The organisers will use a mixture ofdemonstration, improvisation, games and dynamic facilitation formatsdeveloped by Policy Unplugged.
